Preveza and Lefkada share one airport, and it is the one to know if you are planning private jet charter at Preveza Aktion. It stands at Aktio on the western coast of Greece, and its 2,871-metre runway takes every business jet type.
The airfield is shared with the air force, which shapes how a flight is planned. A private arrival needs an extra permit, and handling is through Universal Aviation Greece.
Charter-A arranges the permit request and the handling as part of the booking, and tells you early whether your dates and aircraft can be accommodated.
Flying privately to Preveza Aktion
The airport is open daily from about 07:15, closing between 22:30 and 23:40 depending on the weekday, and the timetable changes by date range. Late arrivals and early departures therefore need checking. Prior permission is required, and private flights need an extra permit with about four working days' notice, so this is not an airport for a last-minute change of plan. The runway is 06/24, asphalt, 2,871 metres, so it does not limit your choice of jet. Universal Aviation Greece handles private flights. There is no vet on site, so pets cannot be brought in from, or taken to, non-EU countries.

Why fly to Lefkada / Preveza
Aktio is the airport for Preveza, just across the water, and for the island of Lefkada in the Ionian Sea, which is joined to the mainland by a short causeway. Sailing, quiet beaches and the small harbour towns of this coast draw most private travellers. Charter-A will confirm ground transfer times once you know where you are staying.
