Gatwick is a single-runway airport south of London, and it never closes. Private jet charter at Gatwick Airport is possible whenever a slot is available: private aircraft are accepted only with a runway slot, requested up to ten days and at least 24 hours ahead, and with a mandatory handling agent.

Signature London Gatwick is the sole FBO, with a private aviation terminal on Queens Gate Road. Peak-time slots may not be available, so Charter-A uses Gatwick when a slot is available and otherwise suggests Biggin Hill or Farnborough. We confirm that with you early.

Why fly to Gatwick

Gatwick lies between London and the south coast, in West Sussex, and trains reach central London in about 30 minutes. Brighton, Surrey, Kent and Sussex are all close, and many travellers use the airport for the London area when a slot is free. Gatwick is also convenient for Crawley's business parks and the Surrey Hills.

Charter-A tipAsk early about Gatwick slots: peak-time slots may not be available, and Biggin Hill or Farnborough are the fallback.

Which aircraft?

Charter-A matches the aircraft to the runway, the number of passengers and how far you are flying. For UK and near-European sectors from Gatwick that usually means one of the turboprops, very light jets or light jets; longer flights and larger groups step up to midsize jets and heavy jets.

Your car at Gatwick

Chauffeur-driven cars can be arranged with your flight, at cost, and timed to your aircraft: if your flight moves, your car moves with it. Our chauffeur partner, Executive Global Travel, runs a Mercedes fleet from the S-Class to the V-Class and Sprinter for larger parties.
