What the flight costs from Liverpool
We obtained these prices in October 2026 for the Liverpool to Ibiza run, and the order is the opposite of what most people assume.
| Aircraft | Seats | In the air | From, one way |
|---|---|---|---|
| Citation CJ3 | Up to 8 | 2 hr 45 min | £12,850 · the cheapest of the three, up to eight seats |
| Citation CJ2 | 6–7 | 2 hr 45 min | £14,950 · seats six or seven, with a 65 cubic foot hold |
| Phenom 300E | Up to 9 | 2 hr 45 min | £16,400 · the highest cruising speed of the three |
It is the largest jet that came out cheapest, because what a flight costs depends as much on where the aircraft is as on its size. The price is for the whole aircraft, one way, with no UK VAT, so eight friends on the CJ3 split it eight ways. A summer Saturday or a festival weekend moves the price up; midweek and shoulder-season flights are cheaper.
Why fly from Liverpool
Liverpool John Lennon Airport has a 2,286 metre grooved runway, customs on site, and an airfield open 24 hours. Two private terminals handle jets: the Ravenair business aviation centre on Viscount Drive and the XLR centre on Speke Hall Avenue, which has lounges with a bar and its own security screening. It is under 40 minutes from the city centre and a good deal closer to Cheshire and the Wirral than Manchester is. The Liverpool page has the facts, and a helicopter will bring you in: helicopter charter around Liverpool.
Charter-A.com has a page for the airport too: Liverpool Airport on Charter-A.com.

Ibiza, summer and winter
Ibiza airport has a 2,799 metre runway and its own general aviation terminal, with Spanish customs on site. In summer, which runs to 31 October, it is open 24 hours. From 1 November, instrument flights run from 07:30 to midnight local time, and a later departure needs an hour’s notice. That matters if you are coming back from a late night, so tell us the time you expect to leave and we will fit it. The Ibiza page has the detail, the Balearic Islands page compares Ibiza with its neighbours, and Charter-A.com has an Ibiza guide.
Picking the aircraft
Between them the three cover parties of up to eight. The CJ3 takes eight in a cabin that is bigger than the CJ2’s and does the crossing in about 2 hr 45 min. The CJ2 takes six or seven in about 2 hr 45 min. The Phenom 300E cruises fastest of the three, though over this distance the time is much the same, about 2 hr 45 min, and it has a larger hold. If your luggage is mostly beachwear that probably does not matter; if you are bringing a DJ’s equipment, tell us now. From elsewhere in the south, see Farnborough to Olbia, and from Manchester, Málaga.
