Eight seats, three aircraft, three prices

This is the Manchester route we priced for a larger party, and it shows how the choice works when everyone needs a seat.

AircraftSeatsIn the airFrom, one way
Pilatus PC-12Up to 82 hr 40 min£15,575 · up to eight seats, the lowest price of the three
King Air 200Up to 82 hr 40 min£16,600 · a twin turboprop for up to eight
Citation BravoUp to 82 hr£19,225 · a jet for up to eight, and the fastest

The price is for the whole aircraft one way, not per seat, with our fee included and no UK VAT. Divide it by a full cabin and the cheapest comes to about £1,950 a seat. The figures come from quotes we obtained in October 2026 for a date in 2027, so they are a guide, not a promise: operators release their schedules late, a firm price for your date comes with your quote, and it will move with the season and with demand.

What eight people and their bags need

All three seat up to eight, but they are not the same aircraft. The PC-12 cruises at about 285 knots and has a 40 cubic foot hold, which is the tightest for eight sets of luggage. The King Air 200 is a twin turboprop at about 270 knots with a 53 to 55 cubic foot hold. The Citation Bravo is a jet at about 400 knots with a 73 cubic foot hold, the most room for baggage and the quickest in the air: about 2 hr against 2 hr 40 min in the PC-12.

So the cheapest suits eight people travelling light, the King Air adds a little hold and two engines for a bit more, and the Bravo suits a group with real luggage or one that does not want the extra half hour. How much luggage you can take has more.

Which Munich airport

We would normally fly into Munich Airport’s own General Aviation Terminal, on the eastern side of the airport campus and separate from the main terminals. It is open 06:00 to 22:00 local time, with the office from 05:30 and 24 hours on request, customs are on site, and the city centre is about 28.5 kilometres away. The runways are 4,000 metres long, so there is no aircraft we would have to rule out. The Munich page has the facts.

The alternative is Munich Oberpfaffenhofen, open Monday to Friday 07:00 to 21:00 and at other times by appointment, with prior permission needed for every flight and customs on site. We would suggest it only if your destination is on that side of Munich; the whole country is on the German airports page, and Charter-A.com’s Munich private jet page has the wider picture.

Planning around Munich’s calendar

Germany is one hour ahead of the UK, so a morning departure from Manchester lands in the middle of the Munich day. Demand peaks around Oktoberfest, which runs from mid-September to early October, and around the big trade fairs, so a date in those weeks should be raised as early as you can. A turboprop or a jet has no more trouble with Munich than with Paris, but the handler and the slot do need notice; how much notice you need explains how much.

At Manchester you can use either of the two private terminals, described on the Manchester page. If a car is needed in Munich we arrange it at cost through our chauffeur partner, timed to the aircraft. Other Manchester routes: Paris and Dublin.
